The room runs smart, leaning into an Italian and French fusion menu that manages to be more than a simple museum cafeteria. While the surroundings are admittedly grand, the restaurant is best used as a staging ground before or after visiting the nearby Tuileries Garden. It holds a Michelin star, but you come here for the pacing; the kitchen handles the heavy foot traffic of the 1st arrondissement with a level of composure that nearby bistros often struggle to replicate. It remains a rare instance where proximity to a major landmark does not come at the expense of the service.
